Junior Achievement of Greater Miami

Building a national profile for a local nonprofit

JA Miami is a nonprofit that serves the third-largest public school district in the county, with a disproportionate number of low-income, Black, and Hispanic households. They’re great at what they do: teaching K-12 kids how to earn, save, spend, and share money. But they didn’t have much in-house marketing or communications experience, and needed help sharing their story and packaging their success stories for expansion.

We built a monthly and weekly newsletter program, social editorial calendar focused on two main outlets (LinkedIn and Instagram), fundraising materials, and a press outreach system. We also project-managed and wrote their Annual Report, as well as many other public-facing communications, from email auto-reponses to website content.

Thanks to our efforts, their newsletter open rate has gone as high as 50%, their LinkedIn analytics went wild, and even their Board Chair took notice. We also arranged press coverage in Miami Today, the South Florida Business Journal, NBC6, and an upcoming profile in the Miami Herald.
