We’re not a PR agency.

If you’ve got a story to tell, we can help get your ideas into people’s brains. It’ll probably take a little time, and it’ll definitely take a lot of work, but we know the game and we know how to win (the right way).

Earning people’s trust is one of the hardest and most valuable things in the world. We’ll help you do it.

Annmarie feels most at home surrounded by a digital pile of spreadsheets and six different messaging platforms. A project manager at heart, her best work turns piles of ideas and details into coherent, impactful communications, whether they are video- or text-based, momentary experiences or art meant to last.

In past lives, she has produced documentary films, television commercials, PSA campaigns, and large-scale events. She’s also managed crises and media strategy for major brands, nonprofits, and legal entanglements, and has built an extensive practice focused on reproductive justice. Her clients have included Mercedes-Benz USA, NYC’s Department of Health, Miss Universe, Plan C Pills, Duolingo, For Freedoms, the Chosen Family Law Center, and more.

Offscreen, she lives in Brooklyn and drinks a lot of cold brew.

Nick is a words guy. Before co-founding PSE, he held senior editorial roles at outlets like Current Affairs, cannabisMD, and Word Vietnam. His work has appeared in Slate, Study Hall, New Thinking, and many other places. He’s also ghostwritten TED Talks, op-eds, and an unhealthy number of tweets.

Journalism is his first love, but his background also includes teaching, marketing, and instructional design. This mix of experiences equipped him with the skills—and audience insights—to lead successful comms campaigns for clients such as TED Countdown, The Ocean Agency, and several Pulitzer Prize winners. His work has earned positive coverage of his clients from the likes of Forbes, CNET, and National Geographic.

When he’s not typing, Nick can usually be found hiking in the Pyrenees or exploring shipwrecks.
