Jesse Eisinger

Pulitzer winner using first book to bolster digital presence

As a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter for ProPublica, Jesse Eisinger wanted to make a splash with his book on the U.S. government’s failure to stop white collar crime, The Chickenshit Club. Having devoted more of his energy to reporting than self-promoting, his digital presence needed a full makeover.

We started by securing Eisinger’s book positive coverage in multiple tier 1 outlets. He was also invited onto podcasts catering to influential political audiences (see examples below). The cherry on top of the sundae was an invitation to SXSW, where he presented to a standing room-only crowd.

Behind the scenes, we also built Eisinger a new personal website, and helped him develop his own newsletter to reach his audience directly.

  • SXSW guest speaker invitation
  • Book coverage in print outlets like:
    • The New York Times
    • Slate
    • NPR
    • Financial Times
  • Guest appearances on podcasts like:
    • Cato Daily
    • This is Hell!
    • Congressional Dish
